Bob Evans is partnering with Footsteps to the Future to raise funds for their Academic Achievement Program. Bob Evans will donate 15% of sales when you present the event flyer (below) to any participating Bob Evans Mon, Tues, Wed or Thursday from 2:00pm – Close the entire month of September.

Footsteps to the Future is “all about the Girls”…we are a unique mentoring project for young women in and Aged Out of foster care in SW Florida. . We employ the principals of evidence-based mentoring, putting new research into practice. We promote leadership and self -sufficiency through education and positive guidance. We are stakeholders for successful Academic Achievement for all foster youth. We are advocates for a safe and successful transition from foster care to independent living. We believe that an education is the passport out of poverty and a necessary component to becoming job ready, self-sufficient and productive members of our Community.

There are over 600,000 foster youth in the United States. Only 30% of foster youth have a high school diploma or a GED when they "age out" of the system when they turn 18? Footsteps to the Future encourages Education, Job Readiness and Self-Sufficiency thru evidence-based mentoring.
