Saturday, Feb. 28 Kandy Love’s Health and Harmony Center had their second annual Health Fair. Those who attended were able to experience every service which is offered at Health & Harmony Center. The day will filled with hands on presentations, education, fun and inspiration... Along with the services, they also had a Silent Auction featuring many of the Center services, local artists and authors, creations and products. Over $500 was raised for Footsteps that afternoon.
In addition to that, we showed our video… Aging Out Foster Youth…Challenges and Solutions in Our Community. People were very receptive and most were totally unaware of the situation foster youth face when they turn 18 and are all on their own. We definitely told a story that made people stop and think about how they could effect change in the lives of former foster youth.
Judi Woods and mentee Jenny M. were there representing Footsteps and answered many questions people had about why and what we do at Footsteps.
We are grateful for the support Kandy and her staff continually gives to our program and to our “girls”, thanks again!!
