Furniture:

One of the biggest challenges we have regarding furniture is where to store it until we can use it. Many times we have to turn down items because we have no place to move it right away. In the next 3 month we will have 4 young women moving into our Transitional Living Program and we will need to help furnish places for them to live. We need a Storage Unit; individuals or an organization to fund one for us.

• Dressers and bedroom furniture
• Beds and bedding
• TV’s , desks, bookcases ,computers ,printers, monitors
• Living room furniture, end tables, lamps, chairs , couches
• Bathroom furnishing, towels, rug, shower curtain,etc
• Shampoo, lotions, tooth past ,personal hygiene items ( needed on an on going basis)
• Cleaning supplies, and detergent, vacuum cleaner, broom, mop ( needed on an on going basis )
• Miscellaneous kitchen items, pots, pans, dishes, toaster, flatware, blender, etc.

Services
• Mechanical, auto maintenance
• Home maintenance instruction
• Employers willing to hire, train and work around school schedule of aged out foster youth

Our 2 most significant, immediate financial needs include:

• Support of our Transitional Living Program. Funds to support program development and implementation

• Host a Visionary Gathering to introduce people to our program

• Sponsors to fund young woman in Transitional Living Program
• Fundraising ideas and sponsorship
• Tutors, high school and college
• Mentors, mentor recruitment
• Computer help, maintaining data base, Face Book, Twitter and Footsteps Blog
• Volunteers to transport young women to monthly meetings
• Volunteers to help young women in public speaking , writing papers for school
• Affordable Housing
• Used vehicles for transportation to work and school
